I was born a Queenslander and lived my first twenty seven years there. Most of my family and relatives still live there. In the end the summer humidity drove me out but I visit regularly. Over the past couple of years I have started to photograph the areas I visit. I struggle photographically with the endless blue sky and heat haze but use this limitation as a reason to experiment with different compositions, locations and techniques.
